Matlock Bath: Rescuers offer condolences to family of dead man
Derby Mountain Rescue Team was called out at around 3am on Monday morning (December 8) to search for missing man Thomas Caunt in the High Tor area.
Twenty two members of the team, supported by two specialist search dogs, were involved in the operation to search the steep, wooded areas around High Tor.

Hide AdSadly, the body of Mr Caunt, of King Street, Huthwaite, was discovered by one of the search dog team at 10.20am.
The team removed the body from the difficult terrain at the foot of the rock face.
Police do not believe there are any suspicious circumstances.
A rescue team spokesman said: “The team would like to offer their condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.”

Hide AdAn inquest opened into the death of Mr Caunt at Chesterfield Coroner’s Court on Wednesday heard how his mother, Dianne, identified her son’s body at Chesterfield Royal Hospital.
Assistant coroner James Newman said he would commission a post-mortem report, as well as a police sudden death report.
The inquest was opened and adjourned.
The case will be reviewed on February 21.
