Matlock Bath: Bands perform to fight deadly ebola

Musicians are banding together in the fight against a deadly disease.

Five local bands will perform at a charity gig in the Midland, in Matlock Bath, on Saturday, January 24, to raise money for the Ebola Crisis Appeal.

There were 20,153 cases of the disease in 2014 alone, 7,883 of which resulted in death.

Local bands Little Dog, Oak Jim, Oliver Samuel, Sian Griffiths and Blue Wallpaper will perform at the event, which starts at 8pm, and there will be a tombola and cupcake sale.

Money raised will help to pay for protective equipment for medics and more beds for the people in need.
