Man '˜threatened' staff who were delivering cash to Derbyshire bank

Police are appealing for information following an attempted robbery in Derbyshire.

At around 7am on Wednesday, June 8, a Transit van carrying cash stopped on King Street in Belper to make a delivery to a bank.

The staff were approached by a black man, with shaved hair on the back and sides with dreadlocks on the top, who made threats before making off empty handed down the side of the Poundland store, towards the railway station.

The man was wearing a red t-shirt and brown coloured shorts.

Officers investigating the attempted robbery are urging anyone with any information, or who may recognise the man described above, to contact them.
