
The 29-year-old victim was walking in Grange Street between noon and 12.15pm on Tuesday, August 25.
He was approached by another man who then punched him to the head and face.
The victim suffered a broken jaw and was taken to King’s Mill Hospital and later Queen’s Medical Centre, in Nottingham, for treatment.
Police investigating the assault are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the assault, the victim or attacker around the time of the offence.

The only description of the offender is that he was white, in his late teens and of stocky build.
