Man arrested after Hollingwood drug warrant

A man has been arrested following a drugs warrant at a house in Hollingwood.

Police carried out the search at a property on Laburnum Street on Friday, August 26 during which they found a quantity what is suspected to be a Class A drug and other drug related items.

A 35 year old man from Chesterfield was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug. He was questioned by officers and released on bail pending further enquiries.

PC Kelly Brown, of the Hollingwood, Inkersall and Duckmanton Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “We take all reports about illegal drug use seriously, and this warrant was carried out as a result of concerns from the local community.

“Drugs misuse can have a negative impact on local neighbourhoods and if you have any information about drug misuse in your area then please contact us.”
