In the early hours of Friday, October 28 driver Calvin Grant, 27, of Addison Road, Derby, is alleged to have failed to stop when asked to do so by officers on the A52 Derby.

Mr Grant is then accused of taking the M1 northbound to junction 29 and then the A617 to Chesterfield town centre.

The chase then came to a halt when Mr Grant is alleged to have crashed into a parked car on Madin Street, Chesterfield, at the junction with Dowdeswell Street, before apparently then fleeing the scene.
