Make your mark on conservation work at Hardwick Hall
Visitors to Hardwick Hall will be asked to make their mark on vital conservation work at the historic site.
Stonemasons are restoring the flagstone path between the gatehouse and the entrance to the hall.
The National Trust is inviting people to sponsor a flagstone.
Hardwick’s general manager Denise Edwards said: “This is an opportunity to leave something for our children and grandchildren whilst helping to conserve the wonderful place that is Hardwick.”
For £25 you can write a message on the underside of a stone. For donations of £100 a stonemason will hand carve your initials or a special date into a stone. Proceeds will go towards supporting building conservation work at Hardwick.
