Major Derbyshire road closed after serious crash between car and lorry
The A6 is closed in both directions near the bridge over the River Derwent at Whatstandwell, following a serious collision between a car and a lorry.
Police, ambulance and the fire service are all at the scene and the road is likely to be closed for some time.
Diversions are being put in place and these will be signposted for motorists to follow.
However, drivers are urged to avoid using the A6 in that area if possible.
