From July 27, there is a week-long annual celebration of everything that is unique and wonderful about Britain’s breathing spaces.

And where better to visit than our very own Peak District.

The Peaks are one of ten national parks in England, protected because of their cultural importance, beautiful countryside and vast array of wildlife.

In fact, workers in the Peak District are restoring peat – which will help maintain wildlife’s habitats and reduce the risk of floods.

So why don’t you take a trip to the park? There’s loads going on throughout the week, and there are fun activities for all the family, whatever their ages. There are walks around gardens, patrol with a ranger, conservation projects and much more.
