LETTER: Worried about getting new gritters scratched?
What happened to those shiny new gritters Monday last week, and especially at night?
I couldn’t believe the number of accidents as I drove to work. Not a spec of grit salt to be seen anywhere.
I know we are cutting back but at what cost to the drivers?
I rang the council on my arrival at work. I was told that the weather system they use was saying no frost. It had been on the weather earlier telling us we would have a frost. Maybe the highways department should change their source of information received.
Or maybe they just dont want to get the 15 new gritters scratched?
