Peter John Torr, 37, of Birdholme Crescent, Chesterfield. Indicated a guilty plea to stealing No7 cosmetic products to the value of £332.50 belonging to Boots. Must pay £166.25 compensation. Indicated a guilty plea to being in the company of someone he was prohibited from being with by a restraining order. Committed to prison for 16 weeks suspended for 12 months with a Drug Rehabilitation Requirement and a Rehabilitation Activity Requirement. Must pay a £115 victim surcharge.

Shane Anthony Smith, 32, of Compton Street, Holmewood, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to stealing Frosty Jack cider valued at £4.49. Committed to prison for 14 days. Must pay £4.49 compensation and a £115 victim surcharge.

Stuart Donald Stevenson, 26, of Langhurst Court, Loundsley Green, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to stealing two bottles of wine and four cans of Special Brew lager valued at £17.97 belonging to Central Midlands. Must pay £17.97 compensation. Admitted committing a further offence during the operational period of a suspended sentence order imposed for the offences of three thefts, a public order offence and two Bail Act offences. No adjudication. Dealt with for the original offences which were subject to the suspended sentence order of stealing alcohol from Tesco, using threatening behaviour, twice failing to surrender to custody, stealing alcohol from Singh stores and stealing Grants Whiskey from Tesco. Committed to prison for 21 weeks.

John William Clarke, 53, of No Fixed Abode. Pleaded guilty to stealing Gold Label beer valued at £3.65 belonging to Tesco Express. Must pay £3.65 compensation. Pleaded guilty to stealing Absolute vodka valued at £15 belonging to Tesco Express. Admitted failing to comply with supervision requirements after release from imprisonment by failing to reside at an approved address. Committed to prison for eight weeks.

Keith Malcolm Turner, 29, of Cross Street, Grassmoor. Indicated a guilty plea to stealing meat and fish valued at £68.99 belonging to Lidl. Must pay a £40 victim surcharge. Indicated a guilty plea to two counts of stealing detergents and coffee belonging to Nisa. Community order to last until March 22, 2018, with a Drug Rehabilitation Requirement and a Rehabilitation Activity Requirement. Must pay £120 compensation.

Ian Michael Thomas, 30, of Carter Lane, Shirebrook. Pleaded guilty to using threatening or abusive words or disorderly behaviour within the hearing or sight of a person likely to be caused harassment, alarm or distress. Fined £120 and must pay a £30 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Andrew Ian beck, 49, of Mayfield Drive, North Wingfield, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to pursuing a course of conduct which amounted to harassment and which he knew amounted to harassment. Community order to last until March 19, 2018, with 180 hours of unpaid work. Restraining order to last until March 19, 2019. Must pay £500 compensation and £85 costs and an £85 victim surcharge.

Stuart Fearn, 28, of Staveley Road, New Whittington, Chesterfield. Admitted failing to comply with the requirements of a community order by failing to attend with the responsible officer. Order varied and the defendant must comply with new and varied requirements including carrying out 70 hours of unpaid work including ten hours added for the breach.

Jordan Tony William Heslop, 24, of Lime Avenue, Staveley. Pleaded guilty to damaging a window valued at £431.57 belonging to Chesterfield Borough Council. Discharged conditionally for 12 months. Must pay £431.57 compensation.

John Darren Holmes, 45, of Thirlmere Road, Newbold, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to entering a property as a trespasser and stealing alcohol. Committed to prison for 70 days. Must pay £10 compensation and a £115 victim surcharge.

Lee Woodger, 25, of No Fixed Abode. Admitted failing to comply with supervision requirements imposed after release from imprisonment in that he failed to attend with a supervising officer. Indicated a guilty plea to committing fraud by making a false representation by using a contactless payment on a credit card intending to make a gain by purchasing scratch cards. Must pay a £115 victim surcharge. Indicated a guilty plea to dishonestly assisting in the retention, removal, disposal or realisation of stolen goods namely a credit card for the benefit of purchasing items. Committed to prison for six weeks.

Daniel Thomas Andrew Collier, 24, of Devon Drive, Brimington, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to using a colour TV receiver without a licence. Fined £215 and must pay a £30 victim surcharge and £120 costs.

Grant John Charles Cook, 33, of Pencroft Lane, Danesmoor, Chesterfield. Admitted failing to comply with a community requirement of a suspended sentence order by failing to attend with the responsible officer. Suspended sentence order imposed for the offence of failing to provide a specimen of breath varied to 20 weeks of custody suspended for 18 months with an extended operational period and by adding eight Rehabilitation Activity Requirement days. Sean Martin Hollindale, 30, of Broadgorse Close, Grangewood, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to being concerned in the production of cannabis, a controlled class B drug. Pleaded guilty to dishonestly using a quantity of electricity without authority. Community order to last until March 22, 2018, with a Thinking Skills Programme and a Rehabilitation Activity Requirement and 60 hours of unpaid work. Must pay an £85 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
