Knife-wielding robbers cut victim during late-night house raid

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was injured following a late-night robbery at his Ripley home.

Two men forced their way into a house on Derby Road just before midnight on July 24.

Once inside, one of the men demanded money from the man who was sitting on the sofa.

As the man stood up the offender cut him on his hand with a knife which required hospital treatment.

The two men then left the house and ran up Derby Road towards Ripley town centre.

One of the men was described as 5ft 10ins tall with dark-coloured hair. He was wearing a black ski mask and a blue jacket.

The second man was around 5ft 6ins tall and had a chequered scarf covering his face and was wearing a dark coloured jacket and black bottoms.
