Jessie becomes great, great granny
Jessie Dyson, aged 99, welcomed the first member of the fifth generation of her family at Springbank House.
Baby Bailey, who is only 13 weeks old, visited his great, great grandmother for the first time at Springbank House care home on Ashgate Road, Chesterfield, along with his mother and Jessie’s great granddaughter, Megan Hardy.
Great, great grandmother Jessie, who celebrates her 100th birthday in December, was born in Yorkly, Gloucestershire and is no stranger to large families, being the fourth child in a family of nine.
As a young lady she made the move across Gloucestershire to Cheltenham and went on to manage a tobacconist kiosk in a wholesalers.
Jessie moved to Derbyshire in 2006.
