The tractor driver was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and subsequently released under investigation.

On Friday, a spokesperson for Derbyshire Constabulary said: “The tractor driver is still released under investigation as enquiries continue.

“Anyone with any information that may be able to help with the investigation can come forward and contact us on 101.”

Many tributes were paid to Mr Prigent – who was a former serviceman – after his death.
