Investigation underway after serious flat fire in Peak District village

A joint police and fire investigation is underway after a serious flat fire in the Peak District this morning.

Monday, 10th May 2021, 12:11 pm

Emergency services were called to the blaze on Brentwood Avenue, Bamford, at 7.14am today.

Firefighters from Hathersage, Bradwell and South Yorkshire’s Rivelin Valley attended the incident supported by colleagues from East Midlands Ambulance Service and Derbyshire police.

Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service said no further information is currently available but that an investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
