Mitchell Price, 18, of Station Road, Selston, suffered “multiple injuries” in the collision, just before 5.45am on Wednesday, May 27.
Nelsons Solicitors say they have been instructed by the family of Mitchell to represent their interests in relation to his death following a tragic accident at work.
The following statement has been made by Nelsons Solicitors: Mitchell was employed by Spencer Hall’s funfair and was at their depot in Selston.
“He was underneath a fairground lorry carrying out repairs when he was crushed to death. He was just 18-years-old.

“The inquest into Mitchell’s death has opened and been adjourned. The police and Health and Safety Executive are making enquiries into the incident.
“Mitchell’s mother Vanessa has asked that the media respect her privacy at this difficult time.
“She feels the tragic accident should not have happened and that Mitchell had his whole life ahead of him and that it has been cruelly taken.

She said: “Mitchell was at work at the time of the accident. He should have been safe there. We will need to look carefully at any policies in place which dealt with safety measures and precautions for the site, and particularly the protocols in place for ensuring that workers were kept safe whilst carrying out repairs.”
