#Reimagine2020 challenges young people to share their ideas and creations about how the world will look beyond the Covid-19 pandemic. Should things go back to normal? Has anything changed for the better?

If you’re aged between 13 and 25, you can submit a creative response using performance, art skills, photography, poetry, song or a short film (maybe using Tik Tok?).

If you’ve made a film or song recording: you can upload it to YouTube, leave it unpublished and email the link.

You can also share it on your social media platforms but remember to include the hashtag, #Reimagine2020 and @derbytheatre, so that they can be shared.

The initiative is part of Reimagine, an innovative performance project , led by Derby's Cultural Education Partnership.

One of the highlights includes a five-week project in which young people will work with artists from Derby Theatre, Baby People, Déda, Artcore and Wrongsemble. The online sessions will offer young people the chance to explore how the world has changed under lockdown and what they can

imagine for their futures beyond this extraordinary time.

Organisers of Reimagine Futures Creative are looking to recruit six teams of ten people aged 16-25 who live within 15 miles of Derby city centre. Each

team will work in collaboration with one of six leading specialist artists, collectively specialising in the areas of writing and performing, devising and theatre making, film making, dance and movement, music and virtual graffiti to create their response around the theme #Reimagine2020. Together, you will work over five weeks to develop your ideas over WhatsApp and weekly Zoom sessions.

The final pieces will then be shared and celebrated across a range of cultural platforms, regionally and nationally, with support from Arts Council England.
