Ice freezes out Santa fun
The Rotary Club of Wirksworth has apologised to all those who intended to take part in the Santa Fun Run onSunday, December 2, after the event was cancelled due to ice.
Wardens at Carsington Water and Rotary Club organisers felt that there was a high risk of accidents if the race had gone ahead.
The Rotary Club had hoped to raise over £2,000 for Rainbows Children’s Hospice and the Rotary Club are very disappointed not to be able to support this very deserving charity on this occasion.
However we will be rescheduling the event in the near future and will make announcements in the press
