Hunt for Chesterfield road rage attacker

A driver in Chesterfield kicked and punched another car in a fit of road rage.

Police officers are now appealing for anyone who may have seen the attack to come forward.

The incident happened on Monday, April 2 at around 9.10am a man and woman were driving a Kia along Derby Road when they noticed a man in a green Volvo was travelling behind them. They had earlier passed this car on Langer Lane in Wingerworth.

A spokesman for Derbsyhire Police said: “The driver of the Volvo signalled for the man and woman to pull over, which they did.

“The Volvo driver then kicked and punched the Kia.

“A passer-by is thought to have restrained the man prior to him driving off.”
