Holmewood teenager to '˜brave the shave' for Macmillan
Ryan Lowbridge, 19, is to ‘brave the shave’ for Macmillan on Christmas Eve at the The Elm Tree Inn, Heath.
He is undertaking the feat to raise money and awareness of the killer disease and chose the haircut challenge so that everyone would know how much it means to him.

“Most people joke with me saying ‘you should get your hair cut’ and I have always said no.
“But by doing selfless acts I hope that I can help make a difference.”
He says he has personally been affected by cancer twice after his grandad had it and a friend of his lost her life to it as well.

“I myself have a form of Crohn’s disease that is going to stick with me for my whole life.
“Like everyone else, I get upset, depressed and anxious about how I am currently and how it can be in the future.”
“But I cannot comprehend the amount of distress a person diagnosed with cancer could feel.”
