Historic bowls competition postponed to avoid England's World Cup clash

The decision has been taken in agreement with Chesterfield mayor, Councillor Stuart Brittain.

A new date for the annual fundraiser - which takes place on the historic bowling green at Beetwell Street in aid of the Mayor’s Appeal - will be held on Wednesday, August 22.

England’s crunch last four game kicks off at 7pm and is live on ITV.
