Historic Blackpool tram is rolling again after major restoration
One of the star vehicles at Crich Tramway Village has trundled back into action after a major restoration.
Blackpool Transport bosses Bryan Lindop and Bob Mason visited Crich on Tuesday, July 26 to officially re-launch Blackpool Balcony Car 40 into passenger service.
Blackpool trams are always popular and the 90-year-old Number 40 will attract even more attention after an overhaul and repaint in the village conservation workshop.
Rolling stock engineer Peter Bird said: “It will be great to have one of the stalwarts of the fleet back in action.”
The village is open daily from 10am to 5.30pm.
