Highfields wins county book quiz

Book-smart pupils at Highfields School are celebrating after winning the Derbyshire Reading Challenge recently.

A team of four students from Years 7 and 9 beat off stiff competition from seventeen other secondary schools across the county to win the annual book quiz for the second year running at Tupton Hall School, Chesterfield on Wednesday, May 22.

“The students worked really well as a team and answered some pretty tough questions,” said Mr Whittington, Highfields Librarian. “They are a credit both to the school and their parents and we are extremely proud of them.”
