These heartbreaking photos show the aftermath of Storm Babet in Chesterfield, as families and council workers start the task of clearing out homes devastated by flood water.
Tapton Terrace was hit particularly hard by flood, and Storm Babet claimed the life of one resident on the street.
Maureen Gilbert, 83, died when she was unable to escape the rising flood waters. The pensioner had lived in the street all her life and her home was previously ravaged by floods in 2007, said her heartbroken family.
Clean-up operations have begun in the area and these photos show residents clearing furniture from their ruined homes.
