Four by four loaned to project

A social enterprise has been chosen to receive a year–long loan of a Land Rover to support the rural community.

Tim Sidaway, of Garden Farm LIFE, in Matlock, was awarded the vehicle as part of the Princes Trust Countryside Fund.

The project works with disadvantaged groups and uses the farm and rural environment to help improve their wellbeing and opportunities. Working with a range of agencies and social services, vulnerable members of the community are given the opportunity to take part in a carefully structured programme of farm-related activities as part of their care, rehabilitation, therapeutic or educational programmes.

Laura Schwab, Jaguar Land Rover UK marketing director, said: “Building on the success of the first year, where five recipients of the inaugural bursary made a tangible difference to communities across the country, we are delighted to find a further five truly worthy projects which will no doubt benefit and grow with the provision of a Freelander 2. We are looking forward to seeing the benefit that our vehicles can bring.”
