Five people arrested in connection to Hucknall burglary

Four men and a woman have been arrested in connection with a burglary in Hucknall.

Nottinghamshire Police were called at around 2am today (Monday, July 16) to a report that several people had fled from Maple Leaf Way after a man had suspected them of burglary and confronted them.

The 27-year-old man suffered an injury to his hand and was treated in hospital.

Officers investigating suspected two cars to be involved and two pursuits followed. One car travelled to Sheffield where three men, aged 23, 27 and 23 were arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary by South Yorkshire Police following a collision.

The other car was found in Mount Crescent off the Clover Nook Estate in Derbyshire and a 23-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary nearby by colleagues from Derbyshire.

All five people remain in police custody.
