Firefighters tackle Clay Cross kitchen blaze
Firefighters from Clay Cross were called out last night to attend a kitchen fire in Clay Cross.
Crews were alerted to the incident at around 8.52pm after reports of a smell of burning on Pankhurst Place.
On arrival the crew led one man to safety and used hoses to extinguish to fire.
An ambulance was called and the crew left the scene shortly afterwards.
