Firefighters tackle big blaze near Matlock overnight

Crews from Alfreton and Staveley were called to The Hollow, Holloway, at about 2am.

A large amount of bracken was on fire behind a house.

Firefighters had left the scene by 7am and will return at 1pm to carry out a reinspection.

It is not clear what caused the blaze.

There were no injuries.
