Firefighters fight Dronfield bypass van fire
Firefighters were called out to a van fire on the Dronfield Bypass.
Crews from Dronfield and Chesterfield arrived at the scene, Oon the A61 near Stubley Hollow, at around 5.54am this morning (Monday, December 17).
Finding the van ‘well alight’, they used small gear and hydraulic equipment to gain access to the vehicle before extinguishing the blaze with four breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet.
Derbyshire Police were also in attendance.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
