Fire crews from across Derbyshire called to scene of gas leak on busy Chesterfield road

A number of fire crews from across the county were deployed to a gas leak in Chesterfield this morning.

At 11.25am today, firefighters attended a property on Chatsworth Road in Chesterfield – following reports of a gas leak.

Crews from Staveley, Clay Cross and Chesterfield were called to the scene, before the gas and electricity supply were isolated.

A Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson added: “The incident was left in the care of Cadent and all persons were accounted for.”
