Fire crews battle Old Whittington caravan '˜explosion'
Firefighters from Chesterfield and Staveley were called out after a caravan '˜exploded' in Old Whittington.
The incident, which happened shortly before 9pm last night, took place on Newbridge Lane.
On arrival, crews found one caravan ‘well alight’ which needed two hoses to extinguish it.
The incident was declared closed at around 9.15pm and firefighters left the scene shortly afterwards.
