Fire crews attend blaze in garden of Derbyshire house

Fire crews were called to Hurst Rise in Matlock this morning after a fire started in a garden in a house there.

The report was made at 9.21am today (September 30) and a crew from Matlock fire station attended the scene, where they said there was a fire in the open in a rear garden of a property.

Derbyshire Fire and Rescue said the fire was extinguished using a hose reel jet.

Crews remained at the scene for damping down.

No injuries were reported.
