Chesterfield Borough Council has received a planning application to change the former Save the Children charity shop on Stephenson Place into a coffee and food outlet.

The application states the shop would be open between 7am and 7pm Monday to Friday, 7am and 10pm on Saturday and 9am and 4pm on Sunday and bank holidays.

New jobs would be created if the plan is given the go-ahead.
