A 20-month-old boy has been taken to hospital by air ambulance after falling from a second-floor window in Chesterfield this morning.

Emergency services were called at 11.00am to reports that a 20-month-old boy had fallen from a second-floor window in Chesterfield.

The boy was taken by Air Ambulance from his home in the Harehill Road area of the town, to Sheffield Children’s Hospital, where he is receiving treatment for injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

Enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances of the incident and a police presence will remain in the area this afternoon.
