Electricity box catches fire in Whitwell

Emergency services and Western Power were on the scene after an electricty box caught fire in Whitwell.

At 12.35am today, Wednesday, June 6 firefighters from Clowne attended the fire on Southfield Lane.

A spokesman for Derbyshire Fire and Rescue said: “The crew used a CO2 extinguisher on the fire and called for attendance of Western Power Distribution to isolate the equipment.”
