He said: “I am definitely excited about opening the restaurant in Matlock.

“I actually saw the premises about two and a half years ago and enquired about it, but they didn’t get back to me until a long time later.”

Opening the restaurant is the next stage of Amdadur’s business plan and he will be leaving the takeaway in Alfreton in the capable hands of his brother while he comes over to Matlock to manage the new venture.

He is joined by business partner, Mohamed Mahmud, who will be putting his cooking expertise to good use in the restaurant’s kitchen.

Amdadur, who lives in Derby, explained that the restaurant has undergone a makeover to give it a contemporary look so it is ready for opening.

“We have changed everything,” he said.

“We have new artwork on the walls and we’ve redone the whole kitchen to make it more modern. Then we have got new carpets and on the front we have got a new sign.”

Amdadur added the restaurant had benefitted from a lick of paint as well.

He explained that the word Moja means ‘tasty’.
