Drivers urged to be vigilant after vehicles damaged in Chesterfield and Amber Valley

Police in Chesterfield and Amber Valley are urging drivers to be vigilant after a number of vehicles were damaged.

Offenders have caused damage to the windows and tyres of cars in Staveley, Middlecroft, Inkersall and Heanor in the last few weeks. In some cases, sharp instruments have been used to scratch the paintwork.

Residents are being asked to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activity to their local policing team to help to stop a crime from happening.

Motorists are also being encouraged to park in well-lit, overlooked areas and to use garages or driveways where possible to protect their vehicles.
