Dodgy Dales estate agent’s case adjourned
An estate agent who pleaded guilty to three charges of engaging in unfair commercial practices has yet to answer for her crimes after her sentencing was adjourned yet again.
Helen Gregory, 55, of Valley Road, Spital, was due to be sentenced in Derby Crown Court on Wednesday, however the case was adjourned until April 29 following a last minute change of solicitors.
Gregory is in the process of trying to pay back £67,000 of money taken from tenants in deposits, which was not paid into the Deposit Protection Service (DPS) - a legal requirement under the Housing Act 2004.
