Derbyshire weather forecast - ICE WARNING IN FORCE

A Met Office spokesman said outbreaks of sleet and snow yesterday afternoon and evening, coupled with freezing temperatures, will have left the hazard of icy surfaces.

The spokesman added: “The public should be aware of the continued risk of disruption to transport due to snow and ice.”

Thursday will see a cold, cloudy start with patchy mist and fog which will clear slowly during the morning. Any wintry flurries will slowly die out and it will be otherwise dry. Some bright spells are likely later. There will be light winds. Maximum temperature 3C.

Tonight, it will be dry with clear spells and broken cloud. A frost will form widely with mist and freezing fog patches. There will be mainly light winds. Minimum temperature –5C.
