Derbyshire travel update

The M1 Derbyshire Southbound is suffering congestion between J30 for A616 Derbyshire and J29 for A617 Heath M1 Derbyshire with heavy traffic on the M1 southbound, between J30, A616 (Sheffield), and J29, A617 (Chesterfield).

Disruption has been reported on the A6135 at Derbyshire, eastbound, between the B6053 Staveley Lane, at Eckington and Spinkhill Lane, Renishaw, A6135, Derbyshire.

The A6135 Station Road, in Eckington, is partially blocked eastbound between the B6053 Staveley Lane junction and the Spinkhill Lane junction, because of an overturned car.

Elsewhere, there is heavy traffic on A50 Eastbound between J1, B6540, Tamworth Road, Rycroft Road, London Road, at Long Eaton, and M1 J24A, Derby/Stoke/East Midlands Airport.

One lane blocked and heavy traffic due to broken down car on A50 Westbound between J3 A514 Swarkestone Road (Swadlincote / Melbourne) and J4 A38 / B5008 Etwall Road (Toyota Island). Police directing traffic.

There are delays, road blocked and heavy traffic due to accident, three vehicles involved and recovery work on A38 Northbound between A5111 Kingsway (Kingsway Island) and A52 Ashbourne Road (Markeaton Island).

There is heavy traffic on the A52 Brian Clough Way inbound between A5111 Raynesway, West Service Road and A61 Sir Frank Whittle Road, A52 Eastgate, Nottingham Road (Pentagon Island).

Queueing traffic is also on A38 Southbound at A52 (Markeaton Island).

The A52 Brian Clough Way Eastbound closed due to resurfacing work during the night between A6005 Derby Road and M1 J25.

There are temporary traffic lights and water main work on Stenson Road at Instow Drive and temporary traffic lights and water main work on B6179 Alfreton Road near The Town.

There is one lane closed and speed restriction due to roadworks during off-peak periods on A38 both ways at A52 (Markeaton Island). Expect delays.

The A5194 London Road is closed both ways due to bridge maintenance work between Bateman Street and Railway Technical Centre.

Litchurch Lane closed due to bridge maintenance work at A5194 London Road.

There is roadworks on Wilmore Road between Merrill Way and Rolls Royce Gate 6.
