DERBYSHIRE: Snow causes school closures and traffic delays

Yellow Warning of Snow was given for the East Midlands: Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Derby, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Nottingham, Leicester, Rutland & Northamptonshire valid from 0005 Fri 22 Mar to 2359 Fri 22 March.

The Highways Agency and Derbyshire County Council gave the following warnings with school closures and traffic delays:

TRAFFIC REPORTS: A53 Leek Road Buxton, both ways between A54 Macclesfield Main Road and Thorncliff Road

A53 Derbyshire - A53 Leek Road closed in both directions between the A54 Macclesfield Main Road junction in Buxton and the Thorncliff Road junction in Leek, because of snow.

A54 Bosley, both ways between A523 and A537 Cat & Fiddle Road

A54 Cheshire - A54 closed between Bosley Crossroads in Bosley and Buxton, because of snow.

A57 Snake Pass Glossop, both ways between Hurst Road and A6013

A57 Derbyshire - A57 Snake Pass closed between Royal Oak Inn, Glossop in Glossop and Ladybower Reservoir in Bamford, because of snow.
