During the last week officers have become aware of Facebook messages that refer to a van that has been seen in the area, which is linked to dog thefts. Several people have also reported their concerns directly to officers.

Police have made enquiries and can now confirm that the van has not been seen in the county in recent weeks and the allegations of theft are unfounded.
