Derbyshire police close road after vehicle goes up in flames

Derbyshire police closed a road in the Peak District yesterday after a vehicle went up in flames.

Bakewell, Hathersage and White Peak Villages Police Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) released images of the vehicle ablaze after closing Monyash Road at Bakewell at about 6.30pm.

Officers urged drivers to avoid the area but said no one had been injured in the blaze.

The SNT later informed people that the road had reopened.
