Derbyshire: Grant incentive for apprenticeship scheme

A council incentive is offering Dales businesses the chance to get a grant if they employ an apprentice.

Derbyshire Adult Community Education Service is running a scheme whereby firms in the area can apply for an Apprenticeship Grant for Employers (AGE) worth up to £1,500 for each apprentice taken on who is under the age of 25.

Businesses that are eligible for the grant will be those that employ fewer than 50 employees and haven’t employed an apprentice in the last 12 months.
