Derbyshire firms honoured for helping cadets

Seven regional firms are among 21 organisations and companies countywide to be honoured with top awards for supporting volunteer Reservists with the Armed Forces.

The companies will attend a presentation ceremony at Morley Hayes Hotel, at Morley, on Tuesday.

Winners include All Sox Ltd, Owen Taylor and Sons Ltd, of Alfreton, British Orienteering and Dales Housing Limited, of Matlock, Derbyshire County Council, East Midlands Chamber of Commerce, Franke Sissons Ltd, of Chesterfield, and Pentalpha Exhibitions and Interiors, of Ripley.

They will receive a Ministry of Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Silver award for demonstrating their support to Reservist employees.

The awards will be presented by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant for Derbyshire, William Tucker.
