Derbyshire driver in stolen van crashes into innocent motorist

A Derbyshire driver who has 'an exaggerated belief in their driving ability' crashed into an innocent motorist.

Derbyshire Roads Policing Unit‏ were pursuing the thief when he collided with a Mercedes in Eckington.

The man escaped on foot but was identified by the unit.

A roads policing unit spokesman said: "The stolen van was sighted, pursuit ensues and to use a phrase borrowed from Leicester Police, the driver has “an exaggerated belief in their driving ability” before colliding with innocent motorist. Runs off but already identified. His front door coming off it’s hinges imminently."
