The trust will also be covering simple identification and surveying techniques used by current projects such as Bee Scene or Opal, so people can join in with national surveys and monitor how well their personal wildlife sanctuary is fairing, as well as giving them ideas for how they can share their skills, knowledge and interest.
The first session will take place on January 30 at Carsington Water, and we will be looking at making green spaces a great place for birds to dine. They will be making bird tables, recycled bird feeders and coming up with a few simple projects people can do at home with their children.
The charge for the workshops is £10 for one session or £20 for three months when paying in advance. Booking is essential, so please check www.derbyshirewildlifetrust.org.uk for more information or call Derbyshire Wildlife Trust during office hours on 01773 881188 to book.
