Delays after crash on major Derbyshire road

There are currently delays on a busy Derbyshire road after a crash, according to highways officers.

The accident took place on the A38 northbound, between the A61 at Alfreton and the junction with the M1 at junction 28 near South Normanton this morning.

One lane is closed and motorists are being warned to expect delays until about 10.15am while the incident is cleared by highways and traffic officers.

Highways England said: “There are currently delays of 10 minutes against expected traffic.”
