Two much-respected councillors who recently died have been posthumously bestowed with Honorary Alderman titles this month for their dedication and service to Bolsover District Council and its communities.

Terry Cook and Tom Rodda held their seats from 1983 but passed away in 2014.

The Council praised them for the integral part they played developing the council and improving the district. Cllr Cook, from South Normanton, helped bring about the East Midlands Designer Outlet, and Cllr Rodda, from Bolsover, played a key role ensuring the district and town received the best services. Family were presented with the awards.
