The Dales MP has been speaking on plans for a super fast railway link at a conference.

Transport Secretary Patrick McLoughlin as at the HS2 Supply Chain Conference in Manchester, speaking about the opportunities the scheme will generate for British Businesses.

He said: “The supply conference shows that we are determined with HS2 to involve as many companies as we possibly can right across the country.”

The conference was the third of its kind to be held across the UK.

HS2 is a planned high-speed railway linking London Euston with the Midlands, North West England, Yorkshire, and potentially the North East and Scotland.
